Lisa completed her Exercise Physiology degree at the University of Queensland graduating with first class honours. She is an elite athlete who is passionate about inspiring the next generation. As an Australian Representative in women’s pole vault she has a strong interest in rehabilitation and strength and conditioning in power sports. Her experience in this elite arena fuels her interest in biomechanical analysis, force application and junior athlete development. It is this passion, knowledge and personal experience which allows Lisa to consistently achieve excellent results with her clients, including amateur, nationally and internationally ranked track and field athletes. She has experience across a diverse range of sports including cross fit, Olympic lifting, sailing, boxing, long distance running and gymnastics.
With an eclectic sporting background Lisa understands the demands of high-performance training. Her experience gives her personal insight into appropriate tapering and recovery methods to optimise performance and prevent injury. In the midst of completing her Masters in Exercise Science through Edith Cowan University Lisa has expertise in Olympic lifting and plyometric based conditioning. She has spent multiple years working with CrossFit athletes in both a rehabilitation and competitive environment.
Working as a competitive gymnastics coach for 8 years, Lisa has a passion for youth athletic development and currently treats a variety of junior athletes to minimise the risk of overload and growth-related injuries. She gets great satisfaction in helping athletes’ transition from junior to senior ranks injury free.
In addition to her work with athletes Lisa has a variety of clients with musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiopulmonary conditions. She has extensive expertise in postural assessment, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, corrective exercise programming and chronic pain prevention and management. Lisa can help with lifestyle goals to optimise health and wellbeing; specifically tailoring your program to your overall goals. She is highly skilled in the management of chronic neck and back pain as well as goals related to weight loss and body composition changes. Lisa is full of energy and can help you overcome the barriers to achieving whatever goal you set your mind to!
