The team at START Training offer a range of group classes with something for everyone!

Our specialised group classes are tailored towards both specific programming goals and your own training goals. Group classes include regular testing days in order to maximise individual performance before commencing new training phases.

With personal experience across the board, our trainers and clinicians know exactly what it takes to get the most out of your body.

Initial consultations are required prior to commencing classes, for a movement assessment and background health information so our clinicians can keep an eye on you if you have any other health issues.

Adult Group Class

Our Adult Group Classes are split into 2 main sessions focusing on cardiovascular or strength improvements. Sessions involve specific and structured warm ups, working sets, and use of indoor gym space and large outdoor grass space. Phases run for adequate time to promote physiological adaptation within the body.

  • $20 per session
  • Tuesday 5pm, Thursday and Saturday 6am
  • Sessions run for 1 hour

Adolescent Group Class

Adolescent classes are aimed at 14-18 year old’s with the goal of developing correct lifting technique, building good habits around exercise and improving athletic performance in an open and supportive environment. A large emphasis is placed on correct lifting technique and ensuring exercise selection is appropriate to their stage of development and growth.

We run 3 classes per week with a focus on the 3 major lifts – squat, deadlift, bench press. Each session starts with specific warmup and engagement exercises to compliment the major lift.

  • 6-8 per class
  • $20 per session
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoons from 4-5pm
  • Sessions run for 1 hour

Children’s Group Class

Our Children’s Group Class aims to develop motor skills and movement mechanics in an enjoyable group environment. The class is run twice a week for girls and boys aged 10-14 year old’s. Classes focus on a mix of speed, agility, balance, proprioception, cardiovascular fitness, movement patterning, strength, hand eye coordination using games and gym equipment.

  • $20 per session
  • Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 4-5pm
  • Sessions run for 1 hour

Open Gym Rehab

An in-house opportunity for START Training clients to complete their rehab programs while under supervision of an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. Come in and perform your assigned program using the equipment we have here at START Training.

Bookings are required.

  • $20 per session
  • Monday mornings from 6:30-9am, Wednesday mornings from 6-9am and Friday afternoons from 2-5pm
