Some of you know I suffered a back injury December 2013 resulting in five bulging discs in my lumbar spine (EVERY disc). Then October last year the nerve at L5/S1 became compressed resulting in foot drop. Walking, something we all take for granted, became a chore. It was exhausting. I couldn’t walk far at all. I had been seeing a physio since the back injury but sadly treatment was not helping. I lost hope, I resigned myself to never walking properly again and being stared at by strangers. I was devastated. Then a friend @cinty17 recommended I see @paulpegs from @s.t.a.r.t_training. I thought I would just be wasting more money but I rang Paul. He said give me eight weeks and I’ll have you walking. I felt a glimmer of hope return and thought ‘what do I have to lose’. So I gave Paul those eight weeks and guess what?? I am now walking again. Due to permanent nerve damage I will never walk perfectly again like you do but I am so bloody happy right now. I cannot thank @paulpegs enough for not only giving me hope again but for enabling me to walk. I now have a new challenge for Paul, I want to run!! Paul has accepted this challenge and today I actually ran for five minutes on the treadmill, not a big deal for most of you but for me this is fantastic (remeber I couldn’t even walk let alone run)!! For everyone out there don’t give up, keep trying, keep searching for that one person to help you along the way. I’m proof it can happen!!
